How to Show Unused Devices in Device Manager

This also can fix your Local Area Connection renaming issues due to duplicate name in the system. Also, you may find old unused devices name and more.

1. Go to Start Menu, type CMD (right click and run as administrator)

2. Type in and press enter :- set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

3. Now open devices manager using this command from CMD :- start devmgmt.msc

4. Go to View and tick Show hidden devices. (This just small procedure you must follow) and done.

Troubleshooting :- Cannot Rename Local Area Network (i.e. LAN, LAN1, LAN2)

1. Expand Network adapters (after all you've done above)
2. Delete all LAN with numbers.
   (example Local Area Connection #2)
3. After that restart your computer and rename your LAN.
